Our client is a real estate developer specialized in exceptionally located, large scale, urban projects – office -, mixed-use and residential buildings - built with great architectural and technical quality. The company has acquired excellent know-how which it uses to design and build projects in Belgium and 8 other countries in Europe. The parent company is listed on the Brussels Stock Exchange (Euronext). The Dutch office is based in The Hague (Den Haag).

Waar ga je als Financial Coordinator (Den Haag) werken?

Our client is expanding its activities in The Netherlands with the acquisition of a large-scale inner city residential development (approx. 150.000m2), in The Hague (50% Joint Venture). It is the ambition to acquire other projects in Holland and to develop a local team to support this growth.

In this framework, we are looking for a Financial Coordinator who would support the Country Director in the financial coordination and administration of the Dutch subsidiaries, the implementation of internal processes and the administrative organization of the office.

Wat ga je als Financial Coordinator (Den Haag) doen?

The Financial Coordinator is:

  • Acting as a single point of contact and responsible for the coordination of financial, legal, tax and administrative aspects and issues for the Dutch subsidiary(ies) and its new projects;

  • Responsible for the month-end closing and financial reporting (Dutch GAAP) to the company’s HQ based in Belgium (stock-listed), in close collaboration with the external accounting supplier;

  • Responsible for the follow-up of accounting reports (in Unit4 and Excel) for our joint venture projects which are delivered by our JV partner;

  • Acting as a point of contact for joint-venture administration and accounting processes with our JV partners;

  • Working in close collaboration with the Country Director and HQ finance dept in order to optimize the organization of the subsidiary and the reporting (actuals, budget and forecast) to the mother company;

  • Playing an active role in applying the organizational structure and implementing administrative processes and internal controls;

  • Main point of contact for local external auditors, if required.

Wat neem je als Financial Coordinator (Den Haag) mee?

  • Bachelor degree in accounting/finance/control or equivalent in experience;

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience at an accounting firm or a corporate services provider;

  • Experience gained in real estate will be seen as an asset;

  • Very good knowledge of Dutch GAAP and management accounting;

  • Self-starting, think and act independently;

  • Out of the box thinking, self–motivated;

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, well organized and autonomous working capabilities;

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, open minded and friendly;

  • Open for versatile and flexible scope of responsibility related to the early stage of company’s

    development in The Netherlands;

  • Willingness to join newly created organizational structure of the company that enters the

    Dutch market;

  • Language: Dutch (mother tongue), fluent in English for professional use, French will be

    considered as a benefit.
